Jesus said to him, ‘ “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.” On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.’

Matthew 22:37-40

In a way, everything we do at St Luke’s is Christian Formation.  Our purpose is to equip and strengthen you to be part of God’s healing work in the world.  We do not attempt to form you into our idea of what a “Christian” is.  Together, as a community, we seek to follow in Jesus’s footsteps and believe that through our successes and failures, God is forming us to be who God created us to be.

St Luke’s is place to train to be a part of God’s work in the world.  St Luke’s is a place to learn about the tradition and history of God’s work in the world.  St Luke’s is a place to get comfortable with your questions so they don’t hold you hostage.  St Luke’s is a place to be nourished so that you have the strength to share God’s love.  St Luke’s is place to heal and rest so that you can help others have hope.

We have various structured opportunities for Christian Formation at St Luke’s.

Sunday morning:

Sunday School at 9:15 in the lower level of the church for children 6th through 12th grade.

Our intention is that the children learn the story of God loving us and showing us how to live as we were created - and learn that it is THEIR STORY.  In addition to these regular meetings, the children are the primary participants of inter-generational events such as our Advent Workshop and Christmas Pageant.

***Our Sunday Morning Offerings vary during the summertime, between Memorial Day and Labor Day.  Check the calendar for more information***

Faith at Home: Notes from Rev. Jessica on a book reading we did regarding faith and our children, and other ideas about teaching faith to our children.
